Van Life, Mountain Bikes, and Engagements in the Central Cascades

Van life, mountain bikes, and best friends. That’s how this one starts. This session could easily have been sponsored by Trek Mountain Bikes, Vans Shoes, Birkenstocks, and Rainier Beer! But on a more serious note, it is such a privilege to be able to photograph the people in life that mean the most to you. Justin and Hadley’s mountain engagements outside of Leavenworth in the Cascade Mountains was exactly that. Justin has been one of my best friends for over ten years. He’s also one of the people who I credit getting me interested in photography so it’s awesome to be doing engagement photos with he and Hadley all this time later.

Since these two are both close friends of mine I’ve been wanting to photograph them for quite a while. It’s fitting though that we waited until now because Justin recently proposed and made it official! We’ve all been so stoked and excited after seeing these two together for the last decade!

We cruised over to Hadley’s cabin on the Wenatchee River near the town of Plain. It adds so much to photos when there’s connection and significance between the couple and location. Additionally, we got to include other big parts of their lives like mountain biking and Justin’s van build. I’ve been wanting to do a van life couples session with them for a while and so I was especially stoked on that.

We may have some exciting plans for a part II, and possibly even a part III, of their engagement session which I’ll be super stoked to announce if it comes together.

Check out another epic engagement in the Grand Tetons!

Hey, I’m Warren and this is my why behind everything I do!

I believe this is where it all starts and is at the heart of everything, so let me tell you. I have a soft spot for sentimentality and I think love is awesome. I’m so grateful that I discovered photography early in life because I’ve been able to document my own journey in a creative fashion. For that reason, I have a strong passion for giving that same experience to others and take great pride in getting the responsibility of documenting their stories. Each picture has a story or feeling behind it and I love to capture that novelty. Arresting those moments in time allows us to remember and feel more intensely. I know how much I value that and enjoy passing that along to others through photography. I would love to be a part of telling your story.
