Sunset Couples Session in Sedona, Arizona

It has been a big desire of mine to do a couples session in the Arizona desert for quite some time now. Ever since I first visited a few years ago and discovered what an amazing part of the country Arizona is I look forward to going back at any chance. So, this spring, I did just that. I decided to go visit Shelby and Michelle and photograph each of them with their boyfriends.

Michelle is who I first visited in 2015 when she moved to Scottsdale. Shelby and I drove from Seattle to Phoenix on an epic road trip (check out the short travel film) when she moved there. We found dates that worked for everyone and I booked a flight. Shelby, Matt and I went all out for their session and took a day trip up to Sedona. This was more than I could have hoped for so thank you guys for being so excited about an adventure.

Sedona lived up to the hype. The scenery is gorgeous with amazing hikes left and right. We scoped out a potential location for our sunset shoot, did a few short hikes, then grabbed a great lunch at Sedona Brewing Company. With some time to kill before golden hour we hiked to the popular Devil’s Bridge. That was another bucket list spot for me I was happy to cross off my list. The whole day was amazing, and we timed it all perfectly to get in an awesome sunset session in the desert. The location I went with worked out perfectly and there wasn’t anyone else there but us. Thank you, Shelby and Matt, for being so awesome on camera and helping me finally accomplish this shoot.

Unfortunately, the session with Michelle and John couldn’t happen this trip. But hey, that just leaves me with a reason to go back yet again, which you can totally bet I will be!

Hey, I’m Warren and this is my why behind everything I do!

I believe this is where it all starts and is at the heart of everything, so let me tell you. I have a soft spot for sentimentality and I think love is awesome. I’m so grateful that I discovered photography early in life because I’ve been able to document my own journey in a creative fashion. For that reason, I have a strong passion for giving that same experience to others and take great pride in getting the responsibility of documenting their stories. Each picture has a story or feeling behind it and I love to capture that novelty. Arresting those moments in time allows us to remember and feel more intensely. I know how much I value that and enjoy passing that along to others through photography. I would love to be a part of telling your story.
