Anniversary Bridal Session in Olympic National Park

The Washington coast never fails to impress me with its beauty. Considering it’s a rainforest, Olympic National Park can be an amazing place to visit throughout every season. The Olympic Peninsula possesses so many amazing locations for an adventurous elopement, engagement session, or exploration of any kind! This unique corner of Washington is home to three individual ecosystem types. Consisting of glacier produced mountains, coastlines married to the Pacific Ocean, and temperate rainforest. How’s that for a trinity of epic places?

I ventured out there with Melissa and Chris for a bridal session. Despite it being the middle of winter, the weather was quite clear. I do enjoy the moody vibes that the pacific northwest coast beaches frequently offer, but I’ll also never turn down sunshine in February. Melissa and Chris had a small courthouse wedding before they moved to Washington a few years ago. Melissa has family near Yosemite National Park and so I quickly started picking her brain trying to learn all the local secrets and best tips before my next trip there later this year. I was super thankful for what she shared and excited to hear her stories from such a beautiful place.

Both being into the outdoors and excited to see new places, we decided to drive out to La Push for their anniversary and do the wedding photos they never had. We ended up with only a short time to shoot and, despite the sunshine, some very cold conditions due to high winds. But attitude and enthusiasm can turn a less than perfect situation into still an amazing time. There may be a part two coming so keep your eyes open and, for now, enjoy these moments on the Washington coast.

Hey, I’m Warren and this is my why behind everything I do!

I believe this is where it all starts and is at the heart of everything, so let me tell you. I have a soft spot for sentimentality and I think love is awesome. I’m so grateful that I discovered photography early in life because I’ve been able to document my own journey in a creative fashion. For that reason, I have a strong passion for giving that same experience to others and take great pride in getting the responsibility of documenting their stories. Each picture has a story or feeling behind it and I love to capture that novelty. Arresting those moments in time allows us to remember and feel more intensely. I know how much I value that and enjoy passing that along to others through photography. I would love to be a part of telling your story.
